“ I can't say enough good things about this fabulous little restaurant. First of all, the service is impeccable. Secondly, the food was absolutely delicious with wonderful presentation and nice sized portions. I have to admit I was a little disappointed that they ran out of champagne and prosecco to make mimosas and they were also out of fried green tomatoes. However, our server was magnificent and funny and very efficient and attentive. My shrimp and grits was Heaven in my mouth. Everyone in my party loved their food and cocktails. We sat outside on a umbrella picnic table and it was fantastic. I can't wait to go back. ”
“ Stopped in and took a chance on Rising Son. The atmosphere was great, hostess was very kind and got me seated quickly. The gentleman tending the bar was attentive and helpful. Reasonable pricing and portions are fair. The pineapple jam is fresh made along with local ginger beer from the area! It’s got a nice kick too. Definitely will be back and if you’re in the Decatur/ Avondale Estates area, do visit. ”

“ I've been dying to try this place and I am so glad I did! It was a rainy, cold day so other wasn't as busy as it has the capacity to be. To start, I sat - the bar per my usual. The ambiance is very cool and trendy. I ordered the Strawberry French 75, it was delicious! Strawberries are in season right now, FYI. It was a great way to start off the brunch experience. I'm so glad Amelia (or Emilia) mentioned it. Next, I ordered the C.B.C.B. w/a separate side of cheese grits. Amelia brought a small side of pineapple compote & a side of the strawberry compote to have with breakfast sandwich. The strawberry was a sweet addition to the bold cheddar cheese flavor of the sandwich. I skipped the pineapple - personal preference. The chicken breast was crispy & the bacon was plentiful and tasty! Overall, it was a great breakfast. I would definitely return. ”

“ This place may be a hidden gem in Metro Atlanta. This rustic spot is conveniently located with ample parking in the back of the building. The food was beyond delicious and the service with a smile was even better! Please visit and thank me later . We also purchased a bottle of the house made hot sauce to go- it's so darn good!! Easily one of our go to spots moving forward! ”
“ My husband and I love to go here and we usually sit at the bar. The bartender is always super friendly and fun, with great conversation. I'm vegetarian and appreciate a variety of options. Also, they make a few items in-house like they're excellent hot sauce and pineapple jam, both of which are worth the visit alone. Last time we went, they had a house made non-alcoholic berry spritzer that was really tasty! ”

Also the veggie plate is all vegetarian friendly. I don't know how but those collards are amazing even without ham. 3. The house made soda was refreshing. 4.
